Joanne Paton signs from Hamilton Academical

Glasgow City are delighted to announce the signing of forward Joanne Paton from Hamilton Accies.

The striker who turned 23 last month, becomes City’s second signing during the mid season break following the capture of Katie McCabe on loan from Arsenal.

Commenting on his latest recruit, City Head Coach Scott Booth said, “Joanne is a player I have been a fan of for some time. She has proven ability while playing against us on many occasions and we are delighted that she has decided to join Glasgow City. We are looking forward to seeing her progress at the club.”

On moving to City, Paton said, “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to play for Glasgow City. My first few sessions have been tough at times but I am very much enjoying the challenge of playing the constant high tempo football that I have experienced so far at each session. I fell that I am always learning at training and have already learnt a lot from Scott and the rest of the team. I am looking forward to getting started in the second half of the season and hopefully we can go on and win the League and the Scottish Cup.”

If you would like to sponsor Joanne, there are Gold, Silver, Bronze and Boot packages all available. All sponsorship goes directly to the player to assist with expenses. Email for more information.

Paton goes straight into the City squad for the opening match of the second half of the season as the team face Hearts in the SSE Scottish Cup on Sunday at King Park, Dalkeith.
