Key players signatures secured

Glasgow City are delighted to announce that they have secured the signatures of their key players from last season's treble winning campaign for 2016.

Captain Leanne Ross, hot off the back of her ninth successive Premier League winners medal with City has re-signed and is joined by Jo Love, Scotland's most capped outfield player of all time.

The ever impressive Nicky Docherty is secured for season 2016 as is Cheryl McCulloch, with City's number 14 starting only her second full season at centre back for the Champions after moving from centre forward. Scotland Under 19 defender Sarah Clelland has rejoined and will be looking for some more luck in the new season after illness interrupted much of the second part of her campaign last year.

23 year old Lauren McMurchie moves into her eighth year with City and Head Coach Scott Booth will be looking for another good season from one of the nation's most composed players on the ball.

After a clean sweep at the Glasgow City awards for a second year running, the Club player of the Year and Irish international Denise O'Sullivan is raring to go for another campaign and is joined by Scotland Under 19 midfielder Erin Cuthbert who despite her young age, very quickly became integral to Booth's engine room in the midfield and unsurprisingly picked up City's Young Player of the Year award.

73 times capped, Scotland regular, Hayley Lauder is another player quickly secured for a second campaign for the Scottish Champions following her move from Sweden at the end of 2014. She is joined by young City player Brogan Hay, who has been promoted from the City Youth Academy after some impressive displays for club and country in the last 12 months.

Following her long awaited comeback after two years out injured, the club are delighted to have Sarah Crilly back on board and ready to be at her best and she is joined by Scotland's all time goalscorer Julie Fleeting, who's experience and ability to find the net from literally anywhere will make her crucial to another season for the Champions.

In more good news, Fiona Brown is all signed up and on course to be back fully fit for the start of the new campaign after missing nearly all of last season due to knee injury. Unplayable at the top of her game, Booth is relishing having a fully fit Brown to choose from in his second season at the club.

Hot off the back of her Cup Final winning hat-trick, Clare Shine is back for some more #shinemania and City fans will be hoping she can continue her great progress under Booth in 2016.

Alyshia Walker and Emily Thomson will continue their rehab in 2016 and we hope to see them at some point during the campaign ahead.
