Scottish Champions Glasgow City, will start the preparations for the new season in Germany once again as they take part in the invitation only Turbine-Hallencup 2016.
The eight team indoor tournament, hosted by German giants FFC Turbine Potsdam over the 9th and 10th January will feature 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam (Germany), FSK Simacek St. Pölten (Austria), BSC Young Boys Bern (Switzerland), AC Sparta Praha (Czech Republic), MTK Hungária Budapest (Hungary), Stabæk IF (Norway), Gintra Universitetas (Lithuania) and of course, Glasgow City (Scotland).
The five aside contest will see the teams split into two groups before breaking off into semi-finals and then the final to crown the eventual winner and represents another fantastic opportunity for the City players to take on European opposition.
This is the fourth year of the tournament and City have competed in all but one so far, pulling out last year due to their changed pre-season schedule with their early Champions League quarter final against PSG last March.
Played in front of a 2000 strong spectator base at the indoor arena in Potsdam, this year is looking to be another fantastic competition.
