Glasgow City face Kilmarnock in Scottish Cup Quarter Final

Glasgow City continue the defence of the Scottish Cup this Sunday as they welcome Kilmarnock to the Excelsior Stadium for a 2.30pm kick off.

The holders go into the last 8 clash without their Under 19 internationals with 5 players away with the Scotland youth squad for their European Championship qualifying group in Austria.  City could have opted to have the match rescheduled but with a hectic fixture schedule coming up including Champions League matches, have decided to go ahead and will be hoping to maintain the momentum of recent good form.

It is 3 years since Kilmarnock and City last met when the Ayrshire side were still in the SWPL and City will be aiming to extend their winning ways against a side they have managed to defeat in every one of their last 16 meetings.

Commenting on the match, City Head Coach Scott Booth said, "Our league form has been really good. The girls are working hard to improve each week and they understand the standards they are setting. We are determined to win the Cup again but Killie will try to make it tough for us to progress. It's all about consistency for us."

City will be hoping that striker Alyshia Walker, who has been out for most of the season, gets the go ahead to take part in the match at some stage on Sunday, as she looks to make a return to the side.
