City continue Scottish Cup defence against Aberdeen

Glasgow City's defence of the Scottish Cup continues this Sunday as they travel north to take on fellow Premier League side Aberdeen in the 3rd round.

Notoriously very difficult to beat on their home patch, City Head Coach and former Dons player, Scott Booth knows his side faces a very difficult tie ahead.

He said, "We are all looking forward to this Cup match. We know it will be tough against Aberdeen. They are a well organised side playing good football at the moment. It will be a real challenge for us but one my players are used to. We are totally focussed on getting to the next round and taking the next important step in retaining the trophy.

Aberdeen are flying high at the moment after an impressive 2-0 win over Rangers last weekend, matched by City's 2-0 defeat of Spartans. New City signing, Sarah Clelland is unavailable for the match as she is cup tied, but Booth will be encouraged by the imminent return to fitness of a number of his first team stars as the business end of the season starts to come thick and fast.

Aberdeen v Glasgow City, 1pm kick off, Sunnybank Juniors, Aberdeen.
