City return to the Excelsior ahead of SWPL clash with Hamilton

Glasgow City return to action at the Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie this Sunday as they take on a Hamilton Accies side full of confidence after picking up maximum points in their last two matches.

The 2.30pm kick off at the all-seater stadium, is a happy return home for the Scottish Champions who have been on the road for the last few weeks. Despite the recent loss of Fiona Brown to long term injury, City Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black welcomes a return to the side for Cheryl McCuloch and Susan Fairlie.

He said, "As a club it has been a difficult period for us, however we have Cheryl McCulloch and Susan Fairlie returning to the squad this weekend. This is vital as they are experienced campaigners who will help the communication of the team.

"Hamilton had a difficult start to the season and having to play against most of the top sides when you are trying to put together a team is a tough task. The past two weeks they have secured full points and are now off the bottom of the table and into ninth. This means we will face a team with confidence and it is essential we start the game well, otherwise it could be a very difficult afternoon."

Glasgow City versus Hamilton Accies is on Sunday 14th June, Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie, kick off 2.30pm. Entry is £5 adult, £3 concessions and Under 16's go free.
