Glasgow City face Hibernian in SWPL Cup Final

Glasgow City take on Hibs on Wednesday evening as both sides contest for the first silverware of the season in the SWP League Cup Final.

It is a repeat of last year's final for the 7.30pm kick off at Ainslie Park and Glasgow City will be looking for a repeat performance to that which saw them triumph 4-0 over Hibs to lift the trophy last time around.

If City are successful it will be their 4th League Cup title win in a row, but if the recent 3-3 draw between the sides is anything to go by, Hibs will prove a stiff test for the holders.

Looking ahead to the match, City Head Coach, Eddie Wolecki Black said, "It is fair to say we are delighted to come through yesterday's League game against Hearts unscathed. As has been the case in the past the game before a big match is always a hindrance. We have managed to overcome a competitive opponent without any further injuries or suspensions. Our preparation began yesterday and we can now look forward to Wednesday evening."

On paper this is a final between the two best sides in the country and is hotly tipped to be an exciting and entertaining match. Entry on the night is via a cash gate of £5 adults and £2 concessions or supporters that are unable to attend can watch the match via live stream on the SWPL YouTube page.
