Glasgow City would enjoy a comfortable 5-0 midweek win over Hamilton at a rainy ZLX Stadium.

Goals from Lisa Forrest (8), Kenzie Weir (30) Aleigh Gambone (45), Lauren Davidson (73) and Brenna Lovera (82) would help City to the victory as they continued their impressive early season form.

Head coach Leanne Ross handed first league starts of the season to Charlotte Wardlaw, Lisa Forrest and Gambone, while Erin Clachers was handed a starting berth in goal.

City almost took the lead early in the first minute when a corner was somehow scrambled away by the Accies defence.

It wouldn't take City long to open the scoring though when Forrest volleyed home superb from close range shortly afterwards.

With City in complete control, Emily Whelan would almost smash home a goal of the season contender with a wicked right footed drive that saw Emma Thomson tip superbly over the bar.

From the following corner, Cori Sullivan would hit a rasping volley that would kiss the Hamilton post.

Forrest would turn provider on the half hour mark when her corner reached the head of Weir to nod home into the Hamilton net.

City's domination would continue and it would pay off in first half stoppage time when Gambone finished off a delightful move to grab her first goal in City colours.

A lovely one two between and Wardlaw would see the latter smash an effort off the inside of the post as City began the second half on the front foot.

Davidson would grab her customary goal as entering the pitch as she blasted home a free-kick from 30 yards to add to City's lead before substitute Aoife Colvill whipped in a wonderful cross that was met by Lovera to add City's fifth.
